Validating a product idea
When I’m trying to find a new product to sell on Amazon.
There’s a few things I look for to validate my idea.
#1 - I want to see a good amount of search volume.
That’s a minimum of 3,000 searches per month.
The more searches the better.
#2 - I like to see if another seller has recently launched that product.
And that they are selling well.
So a seller that has launched within 6 months that has low reviews.
And that is doing over $10,000/month in sales.
That shows me that when I launch my product I could also make similar amount of sales with low reviews.
I also want to make sure that the top sellers in this niche are making a lot of money.
That shows me that I have room to scale up.
On the other hand.
If there is sellers with a lot of reviews and good ratings.
But they are not selling well.
That concerns me a little bit.
It shows me that this specific product market may be starting to get saturated.
Keep working hard,
