Don't Get Scammed by Suppliers
If you’re making an order with a supplier for the first time.
I know it can feel a bit nerve-racking.
Here’s how to not to get scammed on Alibaba.
1 - Make sure the supplier has a verified badge.
2 - Make sure the supplier has been in business for more than 5 years.
3 - NEVER make the full payment for your order up front.
4 - You should only be putting down a 30% deposit.
Sometimes depending on the product suppliers will ask for 50%.
But I always try to negotiate them down to 30%.
5 - When it finally comes time to make the payment, DO NOT send them a wire transfer directly to their bank account.
Instead pay them through Alibaba Trade assurance.
This way Alibaba will hold the money and if there’s any issues with your order you can make an appeal to get your money back.
6 - Last tip, you don’t have to do this but I always like to do it.
I ask to FaceTime them and ask for them to show me around the factory.
This way I know they’re actually legitimate.
It’s not easy to fake a factory with employees.
It also helps massively to build the relationship with the supplier.
You got this.
Keep working hard,
