Best category to sell on Amazon

“Pravin, what product category is the best to sell on Amazon”

I get this question all the time.

There is no one right answer.

I can tell you the categories that I like selling in are:

Sports & Outdoors 

Household Items

That’s because those are the products I use personally and know a lot about.

If you like pet products or baby products.

Or maybe you work in an office.

Then those are great product categories as well.

Pets and Babies aren’t going anywhere anytime soon.

If you are a beginner.

I would recommend staying away from categories such as:

Electronics, Clothing, Health Supplements and Food. 

Because these categories can be a lot more complicated.

And then there’s the obvious categories that you wouldn’t sell in. 

CDs, Magazines, Software, Apps & Games.

Also, stay away from seasonal products.

You can make a lot of money with them.

But only during that season or 25% the year.

So you’ll need other products to make you money during the other months.

Try to sell something that people will still be buying 2-3 years from now.

This will help if you’re trying to exit your business for a big pay cheque in the future.
